City branch of the British Interactive Media Association is to launch in September.
This autumn sees the launch of a Liverpool regional branch of the British Interactive Media Association (BIMA). Represented by Ian Finch, Managing Director of Mando who will become the BIMA Regional Specialist, the group is welcoming digital professionals of all backgrounds and disciplines to come together to build relationships.
The launch event in September will be kicked off with a BIMA Directors’ Dinner for Agency Founders and C-Level industry execs, on Wednesday 30th. Speaking at the dinner will be BIMA Ambassador Justin Cooke, digital entrepreneur and investor, and BIMA Executive member Natalie Gross, CEO of Amaze.
The following morning a Breakfast Briefing will be held, for all other digital agency staff, at Amaze in Liverpool.
This will begin a calendar of regular events, including twice annual Directors’ Dinners, quarterly Breakfast Briefings and additional support for other local, regular creative industry events, such as Creative Kitchen hosted by Studio Mashbo.
Three existing regional BIMA branches in Scotland, the South (centred on Bournemouth) and Bristol, are all flourishing and the North West is now set to join them.
In recent years Liverpool has experienced the second-fastest growth in new digital companies, more than doubling its number of digital firms (Tech Nation report). This new branch of BIMA is keen to support this and, through working together and sharing good news stories and achievements from around the city’s digital landscape, will help to ensure that Liverpool remains at the forefront of the industry.
