Paragon Group, a provider of customer communications, identification, and graphic and office services, has announced the acquisition of Reason, a digital transformation agency.
The acquisition forms part of Paragon’s long-term strategy, and will bring new skillsets and expertise to the company while providing development opportunities for Reason employees, and scale, global presence and broader strategic offerings to Reason’s existing client base.
Reason will introduce new capabilities and expertise to Paragon and its clients in experience design, software engineering and digital transformation. Furthermore, the company’s history of working with clients in the retail and financial services sectors will allow Paragon to deepen its relationship in these markets, broadening its client portfolio and offering newly enhanced solutions and consultancy to more companies, on a global scale.
Reason will join Paragon DCX, the coming-together of globally renowned creative, data, and customer communications powerhouses, digital experience specialists and marketing automation experts. DCX is proud to work on mission-critical marketing and digital programmes with organisations including Arriva, Comic Relief, Coventry Building Society, Greene King, Goldman Sachs, Aviva, Health Education England, and Great Western Railway.
With a core team of around 250 people, DCX combines the rigour of a consultancy with the creativity of an agency and the technical agility of a start-up. As a modern-day acceleration agency, DCX exists to design and deliver digital and marketing services fast. Reason’s brand identity – characterised by a people-first culture and collaborative, close-knit working practices – will be retained within the DCX brand umbrella. The Reason leadership team, headed up by managing director Peter Gandy, will also remain unchanged.
“I’m excited to welcome everyone at Reason under the DCX umbrella – it’s a great way to kick off 2022 for both teams, as well as our combined client roster,” commented James Goldhill, CEO at Paragon DCX. “Reason is a well-respected name in the retail and financial services spaces, sectors we are actively developing. Working together with Reason, and bringing on board a host of capabilities (technological and human!), we’ll together be able to offer more and better services to clients in more than 20 countries across the world. All this, while at the same time retaining the personable approach and boutique feel that has made both parties’ offerings unique.”
“Paragon DCX is a great fit for Reason, something we knew from our first meeting with them,” said Peter Gandy, Managing Director at Reason. “The acquisition means we’ll be able to scale faster and take the company to another level. We’ll be able to share knowledge and expertise while remaining true to our shared core growth pillars: digital transformation, data and AI, agile delivery and service design.
“At our core, though, is our amazing people,” Gandy continued. “Paragon’s size and standing will open doors for personal and professional development, and we look forward to playing a critical role in creating a major agency.”
Jeremy Walters, CEO of Paragon Customer Communications UK, Ireland & Luxembourg, added, “The combined strengths of Reason and Paragon will result in an enhanced service offering for our clients. Generations of experience, the latest innovations in tech, and smart data will ensure our partners, people, clients, and clients’ customers thrive and evolve.”
John Rogers, executive director, corporate development at Paragon added “We are delighted to welcome the Reason team to the Paragon Group. Our corporate expansion continues to focus on BPO, digital services and solutions providers, enabling us to enhance our service lines and digital offerings, increasing the value add for our clients.”
