BIMA is seeking a Scotland Community Lead. This is a part time, flexible role ideal for someone with excellent communication and organisation skills. The successful candidate would need to be able to work independently and to tight deadlines.
Scope:
Working closely with the BIMA Scotland Council to deliver a varied and on point calendar of events and thought leadership. Acting as the key contact for the local community in Edinburgh, ensuring engagement on a local level as well as connecting members into the broader benefits of the UK wide BIMA network and flagship events.
Responsibilities:
BIMA Scotland Council
• Council liaison and support – arranging and minuting meetings, ensuring actions are followed up on and the Council has all the relevant information it needs
• Ensuring all council members have clarity on current members as well as pipeline
• Utlising the council to inform the BIMA calendar – ideation of events, speakers, topics, formats and venues
Member Care
• Primary responsibility for membership care in Scotland, supported by the BIMA Member Services Coordinator (based in Glasgow)
• Advocating BIMA communication channels as well as wider programmes and flagship events to increase Scottish engagement
• Supporting existing Client Service and Project Management communities
• Supporting UK wide Councils to build community in Scotland
• Promoting BIMA membership benefits to members and prospects through engagement at events, email, and one to one meetings
• Ensuring the database is up to date with key information and contacts
Events & Marketing
• Work with the Events Manager to establish a quarterly events calendar for Scotland
• Establish an annual budget for events with BIMA HQ
• Speaker recruitment and venue booking (using BIMA network support)
• Pre, live and post communication for each event to include email, social and live streaming (where applicable) working with the support of BIMA HQ
• Regular posts on BIMA Scotland social, supported by the BIMA Community Manager
• Digital Day: support the team on recruiting regional partners and promote via social
• BIMA 100 & Awards: help promote entry and nominations
