The BIMA Immersive Technologies Think Tank was established to inspire, provoke and educate BIMA members and wider industry on the power and potential of immersive technologies.
We’re working to inform the national debate on how to create better immersive experiences and explores new ways to make immersive valuable. We do that by publishing industry-respected white papers and best practice guidelines, hosting events and building an ever-evolving suite of inspiring case studies.
Nicola Rosa, XR Lead Europe at Accenture Interactive
Product strategist, experience designer, and digital transformation expert, Nicola is currently part of the Accenture Digital UKI where he is the Go-To Market Lead for XR (AR,VR, and MR). A key part of his role is to use User Centric Design and Digital Transformation frameworks to create innovative, transformational, business sounding solutions for his clients using immersive technologies.
Nicola is also a Design Thinking practitioner and trainer, and he has been invited to speak at industry events as the VRShow, VRWorld and TechXLR8 about user experience, product strategy, and the future of the immersive media.
With more than 15 years of experience in the media and entertainment industry, Nicola worked for companies like Atari, Google, Spotify, Yahoo!, Virgin Radio and IBM iX designing B2E, B2B and B2C digital products and numerous App Store hits.”
Tom Burton, Head of Interactive at BBC Studios
Tom is an Interactive Director and Commissioner and has worked in the industry for the past 20 years. He is currently Head of Interactive for BBC Studios where he has been Executive Producer and Director on many of the most innovative and ambitious pieces of immersive content at the BBC. He co-founded the digital unit and drives the growth and development of interactive and digital content within the business.
He also sits on advisory boards for BAFTA, Ravensbourne and Future of Storytelling, is a founder of an immersive theatre and technology company and has been known to rattle on about things that interest him at events for Apple to ARTE.
