Hot on the heels of the European Championships in Glasgow our panel will explore how tech and digital is transforming sport from fan engagement to wearable tech.

There is not a better example of where digital meets physical than the sporting world. Training performance, optimised gear, spectator experience, sports event management & marketing, and community engagement all include digital solutions and everyone is looking for what’s next?

How do we achieve the perfect match of human endeavour and experience with technological advances? Making #TheMoment: Bringing Glasgow 2018 to life: Using social to effectively engage an audience beyond dedicated sports fans and create a must watch, must attend event experience. 

Paul Diamond – As AmazeRealise Chief Client Officer Pauls role is designed to ensure clients get the most of their relationship with AmazeRealise. Working in close collaboration with our Strategy, User Experience and technical teams Paul looks to shape solutions and multi-discipline project teams that deliver tangible business results. By gaining a deep strategic understanding of a client and their customers Paul looks to present opportunities where AmazeRealise can add real value.

A sports fanatic Paul is responsible for the strategic ownership of AmazeRealise key clients The EFL and The Jockey Club.

Luke McCarthy – Luke is founder and designer at Glasgow based creative studio, Pim-Pam. Formed in 2017, they work across a variety of areas in sport including digital content, campaigns and environmental design.

Emily Puddephatt – Emily is Stripe’s resident Swiss army knife of strategy. She specialises in social, but as brands’ briefs and ambitions have become ever more integrated she’s developed a keen interest in the places where the lines between disciplines blur. With a strong commercial perspective on the value of social and its measurement, she’s worked with brands in a hugely diverse range of sectors, from food, travel and sport to investments, joinery and even a mint (coins, not sweets). Emily has led the Glasgow 2018 account at Stripe since their appointment as the Championships’ digital agency at the start of 2017.

Kirsty Hepburn is the Enterprise Executive at Sporting Chance Initiative – Scotland’s hub for innovation in Sport which houses a number of start-ups within the UK & Scotland’s first sport business incubator. She graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University with a BA Hons International Fashion Branding with a keen interest in sports brands and new business creation. With a successful sporting background in gymnastics, Kirsty has a passion for sports businesses and new ideas in the sector and has worked alongside a number of innovative sports start-ups to help them in their development.

Previous experience includes 4 years in the BBC Arabic Service newsroom, heading up a pan-BBC World Service change management programme, and working in a diverse range of industries from financial derivatives trading, petroleum engineering and spring manufacturing.
