When we announced the 2021 winners of the BIMA10, we celebrated ten genuinely game-changing pieces of work.
An awards ceremony can only ever show you a snippet of the work that won the award, yet underneath there’s a much bigger story to tell. That’s especially the case with our BIMA10 winners, each of whose projects deserve a much deeper dive. It’s the sort of work that can inspire our industry and on Wednesday 16 March, you can attend the third of three breakfast events where we’ll dig deeper into three of the award-winning projects.
In a discussion chaired by Sonoo Singh, Co-Founder of the Creative Salon, we’ll be joined by representatives from:
– Fictioneers and Aardman, who used AR to bring the iconic Wallace and Grommit characters to life in The Big Fix Up,
– Engine Transformation who developed the Immigration and Asylum Appeals digital service for HM Courts & Tribunal Service, that has streamlined the process for asylum seekers to appeal court decisions online,
– and Manifesto (becoming TPXimpact), who cut 80% of carbon emissions from The Climate Group’s website through a series of innovative technology and design solutions with a sustainable new web build.
Don’t miss out on this intimate chat with our inspiring winners, read up on their case studies and come along to ask them your questions in person.
Speaker line up (more to be announced):
Sonoo Singh, Co-Founder of Creative Salon
Sonoo Singh is the co-founder of Creative Salon, the home of commercial creativity. Founded last year in 2020 with her partner, former Campaign global editor, Claire Beale.
Born and raised in India, Sonoo worked with some of biggest national newspapers in India including The Tribune and The Indian Express, writing primarily about health and culture. She arrived in London in 2000 and landed a gig at Marketing Week where she stayed for almost 13 years and went on to become the editor. Sonoo has more than two decades of experience reporting on media and marketing and has worked at M&M Global, Campaign and The Drum. She lives in London with her husband, her 15 year old son and an extensive collection of books.
David Singer, Associate Director of Research and Design at Engine
For the last chapter of David’s career, he’s been leading Engine’s teams of researchers and designs within Her Majesty’s Courts and Tribunals Service (HMCTS), whilst in the background, helping Engine grow our human centred practice of research and design.
David can’t stop thinking about the bigger picture. He’s a service designer spending a lot of time in the digital transformation space, but once was a transformation lead in the health and social care sector. David’s hooked on the inclusivity and sustainability of services and products through collaborative design and research and cuts his teeth as a service designer helping establish innovative and now scaling preventative mental health services.
David put the successes of their work, that promote early intervention and outcomes, down to the fact that they are eco-system thinkers that put people and their stories first and take a participatory design-by default stance.
Neil Clark, Service Design Lead at Manifesto (becoming TPXimpact)
Neil Clark is the Service Design Lead at Manifesto and Panet Officer at TPXimpact. He is unashamedly passionate about helping to make the planet a much better place for everything that calls it home. In his professional life, Neil works to enable people to do stuff easily, which covers service design, design thinking, business analysis, product ownership and agile methodologies. He’s also co-chair of the BIMA Sustainability Council, is part of the digital carbon footprint steering committee at the Sustainable Digital Infrastructure Alliance, and organised London Climate Action Week’s only event about digital sustainability.
