What?

There’s a problem with big, all-in-one experience and enterprise suites: the pandemic has shown they’re simply not nimble or fast enough to respond to rapid change. So what is?

For many of the retailers and businesses who have successfully weathered the current storm, their application of MACH (Microservices, APIs, Cloud and Headless) technologies has enabled them to meet an ever-changing business climate. MACH is the present and future of customer experience.

In this session we’ll be sharing what are MACH architectures, what are their benefits, and what are the skills and capabilities required – agency and brand side – to take advantage of this maturing technology shift.

Why?

A key difference between retailers and businesses that have weathered the pandemic successfully and those who have suffered has been their ability to quickly adapt to change through the use of technology. Speed, scale and agility have become paramount.

It’s no longer enough to release new functionality once a month. It’s not enough to incrementally improve functions over a series of iterations that take months or years. It’s not enough to be dependent on a vendors upgrade path for your business’s success. Businesses need to move faster than that. So the technology does too.

The MACH Alliance launched in June 2020 to help companies take advantage of the most innovative and flexible enterprise technologies available in composable setups and to break the release cycle through an ecosystem of:

· Microservices: Individual pieces of business functionality that are independently developed, deployed, and managed.

APIs: All functionality is exposed through an API.

Cloud native SaaS: SaaS that leverages the cloud, beyond storage and hosting, including elastic scaling and automatically updating.

Headless: Front-end presentation is decoupled from back-end logic and channel, programming language, and is framework agnostic.

In this session, we’ll explore the speed and agility you can achieve by implementing a pluggable, scalable, replaceable and continuously improvable MACH system and culture.

Event suitable for:

Agencies who are interested in learning more about emerging technology stacks – the benefits and the vendor landscape
