How to configure XM1 Distributed Sitecore with Sitecore Installation Framework 2.2.0

To set up an environment for a Sitecore 9.2 project, Codehouse used the Sitecore Installation Framework (SIF) 2.2.0 to create environments on our server and its supporting architecture before any regular deployment process was in place.

This involved 6 stages of precise configuration:

1. Creating environments
2. Enabling PowerShell remoting on servers
3. Sitecore Integration Framework
4. Creating an app pool
5. Physical path hardcoding
6. Certificate permissions
