Kate started her career at Cambridge University Press working in sales and marketing for the Education Group. Her role involved contributing to project teams with editors, writing brochures and organising exhibition stands at the big education shows.
After a decade at the Press, she took a career break whilst raising her two children. During this time Kate took on volunteer roles in the community. These included being a trustee at the local pre-school and being trained by the NCT to be a breastfeeding peer supporter at the Sure Start Children’s Centre. She then took over the running of the local community festival which she has been producing now for 8 years.
With the new skills of project and event management learnt from her volunteer work, Kate decided it was time to return to paid employment. She wanted a company that was friendly, flexible and understanding to parents with young children.
Kate started part-time at Studio 24 in 2018 – working during school hours. Perfect! She has been dusting off her marketing skills to promote the company by writing case studies, managing the social media and organising events. She also supports clients with their day to day enquiries.
In her spare time, Kate plays Goal Keeper for The Ospreys in the Cambridge social netball league.
